located in Toronto, Canada. They are dedicated to helping children
and adolescents who experience social, emotional, and behavioral
problems related to their learning disabilities. They strive to
deliver services in a manner that strengthens the family, in the
belief that the family can be the most valuable resource for children
and youth.

- Inspired by Deaf Pride, this site has been developed as interactive
community resource for youth and adults with learning disabilities
(LD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).

Learning
Disabilities Association of Canada - The LDAC is a national,
nonprofit voluntary organization which was founded in 1963 and incorporated
in 1971. It is dedicated to advance the education, employment, social
development, legal rights and general well-being of people with
learning disabilities.

Needs Education (SNE) Project - is an Internet service providing
resources for parents, teachers, schools, and other professionals,
individuals, groups, and organizations involved in the education
of students with special needs. The Special Needs Education project
operates under the auspices of SchoolNet, a cooperative initiative
of Canada's provincial, territorial, and federal governments in
consultation with educators, universities, colleges and industry.

Syndrome Coalition of the U.S. - Non-profit organization
dealing with Nonverbal Learning Disabilities (NLD), Asperger Syndrome,
and related neurologically-based social & communication disorders.
Site includes good articles unavailable elsewhere on the net, a
calendar, and a Reference Room with an annotated bibliography and
list of important journal articles.

Federal Resource
Center - Is a special education, technical assistance project
funded by the US Department of Education's Office of Special Education
and Rehabilitative Services, and is part of the Regional Resource
and Federal Centers Network.

OnLine - The National Information Center for Children and
Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY) responds to requests for information
about the problems many children, youth, and adults experience with
learning -- in particular, with learning to read.

Association of America - is a national, non-profit organization.
Their purpose is to advance the education and general welfare of
children and adults of normal or potentially normal intelligence
who manifest handicaps of a perceptual, conceptual, or coordinative
nature.

National Rehabilitation
Information Center - a library and information center on
disability and rehabilitation. Funded since 1979 by the National
Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), NARIC
collects and disseminates the results of federally funded research
projects. NARIC's document collection, which also includes commercially
published books, journal articles, and audiovisuals, grows at a
rate of 250 new documents per month.
