Boat Key Fob
The best key fob for your boat key is a cork. If
it falls overboard it will float. |
Bumper Stickers
Use a hair dryer to heat and loosen bumper stickers and window
decals before trying to scrape them off. |
Cola For Your Car?
Cola isn't only good for thirst. When you rub the
clamps of your car battery with cola they won't oxidize. Cola also
works on rusty metal if you don't have any anticorrosive agent in
reach. |
Cold Carburetor?
You may not believe this but in most of the cases
this trick will work: When your car doesn't want to start on a cold
day use a hair dryer and blow some warm air on the carburetor. The
heat will help to inflame the gas. |
Emergency Traction
If your car is hopelessly stuck on a patch of ice
of snow, use one of the floor mats for traction. Just place it under
the stuck tire and off you'll go! |
Hammering
Nails into Hardwood
If you need to hammer nails into very hard wood you
should rub them with soap or candle wax and they'll go into the
wood easily. |
Mowing
Wet Lawn
When you're going to cut high or wet lawn you should cover the
knives or your lawnmower with oil. The cut grass won't stick to
the knives then.
|
Oil Spots
Oil stains on the garage floor are ugly. They look dirty and can
ruin the floor. It's very easy to care of this problem: strew some
cat litter on the oil spot. It will soak up the oil. |
Shovel Snow With Ease!
To speed through even the toughest shoveling jobs with ease,
try this: spray your shovel with nonstick cooking spray before
heading outdoor. Snow won't stick!
|
Small
Screws
If you have to drill in small screws it sometimes can drive you
crazy. They're too small to grip and you also can't get them into
the hole. Put a bit glue on the tip of your finger then this won't
be a problem anymore.
|
Save Baby Food Jars
Nail or screw the lids to the bottom of upper cabinets or shelves
and then thread the jars back onto the lid. You'll have clear
storage containers for sorting small parts and pieces.
|
Tar Spots
Tar spots on your car can be a big problem because most of the
cleaning agents are rough on the surface. It's better to try this:
Moisten a soft cloth with flax oil an use it to soak the tar.
Take another cloth you moistened with flax oil to polish.

occur while using these tips. I've tried many of the applications found
on these pages, and haven't encountered any difficulties.
